Breakfast at the Fruit Store

APPLE that is! I can’t imagine just how much I’ve spent on that piece of fruit. But it’s truly my happy place - nothing can go wrong at the Apple store.

This weekend I’ve decided to bring my G5 down to one of our local Apple store for a checkup, sensing that the hard drive might be failing. There is something about this fruity store, the min. I walked into it all of my worries are dissolved away, my problems will all be taken care of by the Apple Genius. The guy (Genius) took a look at my G5 and decided that the hard drive is failing that I should replace it. Then a est. of how much they’d have to charge if they have done it, but ‘you can save alot just by buying and installing the hard drive yourself’ … ‘i’m interested’ - I replied. So the nice guy at Apple store spent another 20min searching for a good hard drive for me online (we ended up buying from Newegg) Then showed me how to open and install the new drive, even to make sure I got all the steps remembered, he printed out OS installations, step by step! that’s just thoughtful! see what I mean, the Apple Store is just wonderful: ‘Nothing very bad could happen to you there.’

My Favorite part of the Wikiquote from Breakfast at Tiffany’s:

Holly: You know those days when you get the mean reds?
Paul: The mean reds, you mean like the blues?
Holly: No. The blues are because you’re getting fat and maybe it’s been raining too long, you’re just sad that’s all. The mean reds are horrible. Suddenly you’re afraid and you don’t know what you’re afraid of. Do you ever get that feeling?
Paul: Sure.
Holly: Well, when I get it the only thing that does any good is to jump in a cab and go to Tiffany’s. Calms me down right away. The quietness and the proud look of it; nothing very bad could happen to you there. If I could find a real-life place that’d make me feel like Tiffany’s, then - then I’d buy some furniture and give the cat a name!

Virtual House Hunting

When it comes to Virtual (no sales pressure) house hunting I’ve always liked RedFin and HotPads they are both great at snooping around the area on for sale houses (just incase I might find one that I can afford).

Fashion Photography

Started Fashion Photography class last night at the New England School of Photography. The class runs on every Friday from 6 - 9 pm.

Seems like i’m the only person that doesn’t have any professional photography experience at all! most of them have been taken photos professionally for years and some even have their own studio. hee hee I’m the only Graphic Designer that got mixed into this class, but that’s even better, I like to be in a environment where others are better than me, that gives me motivation to learn and strive to become better.

Seems like we have a fun class, next class we will be bring our ipod with music we picked for the shoot. on that note: pick the right music for the shoot can be hard on some, if you don’t like happy dancing music, nor don’t have any in your music collection then it’s a big problem … i’m guessing my collection of Jamiroqual and 33HZ comes in handy here. I personally think - SOS (Rihanna) and Crazy in love (Beyonce) will be a good choice as well.

An Early Start

First day in a long time waking up feeling absolutely free, walk down to the waterfront park and sat there saw boat after boat passing, it’s really quiet and relaxing during the morning time.

Back to my home studio, are already running into some Indesign issues. But that’s just a small program error, scared me half to death but all fixed now (:
