Bolt Bus

——————————- UPDATE April 20th, 2008 ————————————————-

I received an insider tip that tickets from BOS - NYC are available to purchase on the 20th of Apr so this morning I went on Bolt to check, and YES! I was able to purchase a ticket to NYC for next Saturday the 26th, Total Price = $1

——————————- OLD POST ————————————————-

Three extra inches of legroom per seat. Power outlets to plug in laptops, iPods, portable DVD players and other electronics? wait how much is this ride … if I tell ya it’s a dollar … oh wait today is a bad day - sorry it’s no April Fools joke - it’s the real deal. Head over to BoltBus.com to check them out ( Currently only servicing NY - DC or Philly)  What about Boston :( no love here.

The Bolt Bus pricing system works on supply and demand. When a day’s routes first go on sale, at least one seat will be available for $1, with other seats offered at different price levels. The more in demand a seat on the bus is – for instance a bus is starting to sell out – the more seats will go up in price until the bus is full. Routes where seats are not as in demand will have more $1 tickets available. — Visit Suite101.com For a complete break down of the BoltBus.

Also one pretty new trend - i’m pretty sure it will catch on pretty quickly - it’s the same pill just a different flavor sugar coat … all in all … travel with bolt bus, buy 8 tickets from bolt bus , you get something back and they get a royal customer.

Bolt understands that customers expect simplicity when it comes to traveling on a bus. And when it comes to a frequent rider program, we’re keeping it simple as well.
Introducing the Bolt Rewards program. No miles, no restrictions. Simply take eight trips on BoltBus and you’re eligible for a free one-way ticket trip.
