APPLE that is! I can’t imagine just how much I’ve spent on that piece of fruit. But it’s truly my happy place - nothing can go wrong at the Apple store.
This weekend I’ve decided to bring my G5 down to one of our local Apple store for a checkup, sensing that the hard drive might be failing. There is something about this fruity store, the min. I walked into it all of my worries are dissolved away, my problems will all be taken care of by the Apple Genius. The guy (Genius) took a look at my G5 and decided that the hard drive is failing that I should replace it. Then a est. of how much they’d have to charge if they have done it, but ‘you can save alot just by buying and installing the hard drive yourself’ … ‘i’m interested’ - I replied. So the nice guy at Apple store spent another 20min searching for a good hard drive for me online (we ended up buying from Newegg) Then showed me how to open and install the new drive, even to make sure I got all the steps remembered, he printed out OS installations, step by step! that’s just thoughtful! see what I mean, the Apple Store is just wonderful: ‘Nothing very bad could happen to you there.’
My Favorite part of the Wikiquote from Breakfast at Tiffany’s:
Holly: You know those days when you get the mean reds?
Paul: The mean reds, you mean like the blues?
Holly: No. The blues are because you’re getting fat and maybe it’s been raining too long, you’re just sad that’s all. The mean reds are horrible. Suddenly you’re afraid and you don’t know what you’re afraid of. Do you ever get that feeling?
Paul: Sure.
Holly: Well, when I get it the only thing that does any good is to jump in a cab and go to Tiffany’s. Calms me down right away. The quietness and the proud look of it; nothing very bad could happen to you there. If I could find a real-life place that’d make me feel like Tiffany’s, then - then I’d buy some furniture and give the cat a name!
